Crete is Greece largest island with a total length of 160 miles and a coastline over 650 miles. It is also Europe's most southern part (island of Gavdos) with a great Mediterranean climate where the sun is shining all year round.

Crete is very mountainous and there are three main mountain ranges: Lefka Ori in the west, Ida Ori in the central part of Crete (Psiloritis is 2454m high) and Dikti Ori more to the east. There are many plains and long canyons to walk of which the Samaria gorge (17km) is the most popular one.

No surprise that Crete is Greece most popular vacation destination. Large in size, a great climate, beautiful beaches, authentic villages, picturesque harbors, rich culture and many archeological sites. Crete has is all!

The south of Crete is very mountainous and there are no roads along all the southern coast line. No wonder that this part is much more quiet as the northern coast. There are many small and quiet beaches, some you can only reach by a hike.

In the west is the popular and beautiful beach of Elafonisi. In high season it gets very crowded and can best be visited between 17pm and 11am. Also the beach of Matala in the south of Crete is popular due to the hippies that lived here in the 60-ies. But most other beaches are quiet and you’ll might have the beach all by yourself, even in high season.

The villages are small but picturesque. The way of live is lay-back here and the local people are friendly and very hospital. Usually you’ll find a small family-run tavern for a delicious meal. The south of Crete: a real paradise for those who wants nature, quietness and freedom.

Motorhome and freedom: go where you want to go, stay where you want to stay. Tour around Crete in your own pace. Make a stopover in a small village for a local coffee under the ancient plane tree. Have a swim at that small, deserted beach in the east. Open the awning for shade, take out the camping chairs and have a glass of chilled wine from your refrigerator.

Touring Crete by campervan gives you the opportunity to see all of the island and visit places that otherwise would not be noticed. You can stay at almost any beach, of course with respect to nature and other visitors. But some prefer the nearness of a tavern or village, also possible. At many beaches are showers to rinse of the salt sea water (but no shampoo!).

Crete has 12 official camp sites, some even with pool and restaurant. All have sanitary facilities and many have laundry machines.

Come aboard of one of our campers and tour all of Crete. You store your luggage in the cupboards and off you go. But be aware that storage space is limited, especially when you are with many persons. On arrival we’ll give an instruction and tips for your trip and can mark out some nice places to visit.

Traveling in a motorhome is a luxury way of camping. All our campervans are equipped equally with kitchen utensils, pots and pans, outdoor table and chairs and an awning. All have cooker, refrigerator, warm water, shower, toilet and even heating (you’ll might need it in the mountains!). We supply beddings and towels on request as well as mountain bikes (max. 2 per camper) or Wifi.
