Although traveling with a campervan means ultimate freedom, many clients ask us for tips and example routes. If they follow up on our tips, usually this will last 24 hours ;-) as the freedom invites to plan their own route.
But to warm you up for a nice adventurous and exploring trip in Crete, we’re pleased to present some example routes and share our personal experiences.
For all our routes we take Gouves, where we have our office, as starting point.
East Crete, calm and unexplored (English)

East Crete is the most calm area of the island and has a different character. Mountainous and beautiful beaches but also desolated and rough moon-like country sides. It’s the most dry part of the island as rains usually comes in from the West. And that has an impact on its nature especially in the up most South-East part.
West Crete, the best Crete has to offer (English)

The west of this beautiful island is high on the list of many traveler: Chania old town, the lagoon of Balos, crystal clear waters of Elafonisi and Samaria gorge are for sure not to be missed when visiting Crete. But we have to make a choice and if not all is possible, you can always come back!
